Clinical Pharmacist Job Summary
This is a Night Shift position. The Pharmacist under moderate supervision by the Manager is responsible for prescription dispensing and counseling of patients. Staff pharmacists fill orders for parenteral and enteral medications, monitor patient drug therapies, and provide drug information. The Pharmacist maintains a thorough understanding of drugs and drug therapy. He or She provides care appropriate to the age and clinical status of the patient served. The Pharmacist provides drug information and training to various hospital personnel and participates in clinical activities necessary for drug therapy. Staff pharmacists supervise and direct support personnel. In the absence of the Supervisor, a staff pharmacist may be required to assume his/her work responsibilities.
Clinical Pharmacist Education/Qualifications: ·
- Minimum Education: Graduate of a School of Pharmacy program.
- Minimum Experience: Hospital experience and IV certification preferred.
- Certification/Licensure: Current (or eligible) NM Pharmacist license required.
