Health System Risk and Compliance Administrator

➢ Working with the Executive Director of Corporate Compliance and Audit, the Corporate Compliance Administrator (Clinical) will serve as the health system’s compliance expert related to Medicare Conditions of Participation, Pharmacy rules and requirements, State Scope of Practice Rules, research, etc.
➢ There is an increased focus in the industry on reporting quality of care issues to the compliance committee.
➢ This role is critical to helping to determine the key areas of focus in the quality arena for the health system based on the scope, size, and services provided by the health system.
➢ The right candidate for this role is someone who enjoys exercising intellectual curiosity in these areas of healthcare, performing a great deal of research, helping organizational leaders stay up to date on any regulatory changes and informing others about the possible impact on many areas of the health system’s operations.
➢ Another key aspect of the role is developing and coordinating with operations to implement policies, procedures, educational materials and facility risk assessments. The development of these materials will be based on analysis of the health system’s compliance and
Education and Skills Expectations for the Risk and Compliance Administrator
➢ Bachelor’s Degree required. Masters preferred.
➢ Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia, Certified in Health Care Compliance (CHC) or Healthcare Privacy Certification (CHPS or CHPC) preferred.
➢ Minimum 5 years’ experience in a clinical setting with an additional 3-5 years in healthcare compliance or equivalent.
➢ Must communicate well with others and present a positive image to the public, hospitals, and other healthcare providers.
➢ Clear, concise and persuasive writing and presentation skills.
➢ Strong critical thinking, organizational skills and an orientation to deadlines and detail. Ability to respond well under pressure.
➢ Strong skills in the use of information systems, databases, Excel and Microsoft Word.
➢ Enjoys working as a member of a cohesive team, and is good at doing so. Well-developed communications and consensus building skills.➢ Knowledge of healthcare compliance policies, practices, and systems. Ability to develop advanced compliance principles, theories, and concepts. Ability to draft and revise documents including policies, standards, analyses, and reports.
