The In-Patient Rehab Manager directs, guides and mentors the In-Patient Rehab team to ensure the plan of care for patients is consistently delivered. The Manager oversees the twenty-four-hour operations of the department with accountability for performance and development of related services. This position ensures quality rehabilitation is received by all patients in accordance with professional and regulatory standards, and the philosophy and goals of the hospital. This includes, but is not limited to physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology. Mostly med/surg patients that need PT mostly ortho no neuro

Essential Functions

The PT In-Patient Rehab Manager ensures Rehab Services provided are appropriate to the extent and degree of care required by patients and that the highest quality care is delivered to all patients on a 24-hour basis.
The PT In-Patient Rehab Manager develops programs, policies, procedures, and standards of care to ensure patient’s rehabilitation care needs are assessed, evaluated, and met.
The PT In-Patient Rehab Manager Maintains performance in accordance with professional and regulatory standards, and actively promotes professional development, education, and competency of Rehab team and promotes flexibility, team building, and engagement to create a positive work environment and may perform Physical Therapist functions as required.
The Physical Therapist In-Patient Rehab Manager meets patient expectations as demonstrated by patient satisfaction data.The Physical Therapist In-Patient Rehab Manager provides support and direction for staff in supporting and understanding organizational and healthcare changes. As the In-Patient Rehab Manager, you will act as a liaison and work collaboratively with clinical team and physicians to ensure quality and efficient service delivery.
The Manager of In-Patient Rehab also designs and directs a comprehensive quality improvement program, implements patient care standards, effective staff orientation, and continuing education programs
Completes mandatory stroke specific requirements for certification.
Complies with all patient safety goals of the organization.
Directs In-Patient Rehab Services operations such as staff interviews, orientation, performance appraisals, employee development and supervision
Evaluates staff in accordance with performance expectations and mutually establishes goals.
Develops, implements and maintains budget.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Current Physical Therapist Alabama license or ability to obtain AL license
Minimum of 3 years clinical experience
Minimum of 2 years management experience
BLS required
