MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER - BSME, MSME

Manufacturing Engineer- Cooking and Heated Holding equipment - This is a new position will be headquartered out of corporate office in mid-Atlantic area.  You will be a direct report to the Business Unit Manager. however If coming out of the industry, will consider relocation.

Manufacturing Engineer II
Using 80/20 business philosophies and tool box methodologies, the focus is to develop safe and capable processes that ensure product quality, equipment effectiveness, and efficient labor utilization through the correct combination of technology, equipment, tooling, training, and communication.

Reports to Business Unit Manager. The incumbent will be responsible for the manufacturing processes of gas fired and electric commercial cooking appliances.
This position is considered a developmental opportunity for advancement to business unit leadership opportunities.

Education Bachelor Degree
Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Industrial Technology

Experience minimum of 5-7 years in a manufacturing or operations environment
•Proficient at reading and interpreting engineering documentation (i.e. drawings)
•Ability to multitask in a fast paced, cross-functional environment
•Knowledge and experience in the application of manual mig and tig welding processes on SST materials
•Understanding and implementation of electromechanical final assembly processes
•Experience with using an ERP manufacturing system and database
•Understanding the use of lean manufacturing analysis techniques and implementation of their tools

•Has demonstrated ability to work in a manufacturing environment with metal fabrication
•Working knowledge/experience with robotic weld processes
•Proficient use of cadam application(s). (i.e. Solid Works, Pro E., AutoCad)
•Understanding of gas fired and/or electrical cooking appliance construction

•Work with Design department to timely and effectively introduce new products or product enhancements or changes.
Scheduling production of pilot unit(s) as required.
Process Design PCN’s via Bill-of-Material (BOM) and method maintenance for assigned products within ERP database.
Develop appropriate labor work instructions as required using best practices.
Develop and maintain standard product costs for assigned products.
Identify and implement product standard cost reductions.

•Some travel as necessary.
•Week/Weekend overtime as necessary.

The salary range from $60,000 to $90,000 depending on background. This will not be a bonus eligible role and the travel may be up to 30 percent.
