PRODUCT/PROJECT SEGMENT SPECIALIST - TORONTO, CANADA - COMMERCIAL FOODSERVICE WAREWASHING MANUFACTURER

We have an excellent opportunity for a Product/Segment Specialist for a Top Tier International Commercial Foodservice Warewashing Manufacturer. The Ideal candidate should have experience in Commercial Foodservice Equipment with warewashing knowledge and reside in the greater Toronto area.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for consistently achieving segment development which includes product mix, volume, and margin to deliver stable, recurring revenue and demand.

Develop segment penetration strategy and execution plan to position targeted products within targeted segments (e.g. Casino's, Commercial Foodservice, Restaurants, Regional Multi Unit Chains, Hospitals,etc.).

Expert in Solution Selling process:

  • Product expertise and utilization of the Organizations selling model
  • Understand product and service applications and field demonstrations specific to operators
  • How to sell against competition
  • Pre-call plans
  • CRM and Sales Funnel utilization/ORGO

Comprehensive knowledge of competitive matrix within channel, segments and national accounts to ensure consistent support and coverage.

60% of time allocated to driving specifications within segment via face time with key personnel.

Responsible for coordinating activities with CRM, Strategic Sales/BD, and Regional Sales Managers.

Perform other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain good communication and relationships with other sales managers & support staff.

Proactively look for opportunities to enhance product offering.

Customer advocacy

  • Intimate knowledge and development of target opportunities within segment & national accounts.
  • Educate organization on the customer s unique needs and hot buttons .

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite of products.

Must be able to work well independently as well as be a part of team.

Strong interpersonal and persuasive skills.

Ability to travel extensively within territory.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor s degree in business or related field

Minimum of 8-10 years sales experience, preferred in food service equipment
