SUMMARY

Responsible for oversight of all Surgical Services Departments.  Leadership, clinical, and financial experience are required.  Customer experience and staff engagement are priorities.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current Oregon RN license without restrictions.
2. Four years experience in nursing.
3. Two years of experience required in a management, supervisory, or charge capacity.
4. Baccalaureate degree or actively pursuing.
5. Computer experience using word processing, spreadsheet, and database management.
6. Must possess skills in identifying problems, planning, and implementing solutions.
7. Experience in coordinating budget control.
8. Current certifications: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support, AHA ACLS, and AHA PALS.
9. Ability to communicate therapeutically.
10. Ability to provide direct patient care as a working manager as needed.
11. Possess the ability to provide care for the patient's age-specific cultural, physical, and psychosocial well-being.
12. Provides a safe environment and promotes quality patient care through adherence to established standards.
13. Identifies opportunities for and participates in performance improvement activities.
14. Contributes to the productivity and professional environment of the department.
15. Demonstrates competent professional practice and engages in opportunities for professional growth.
