REGIONAL SERVICE MANAGER - KNOXVILLE, TN - COMMERCIAL FOODSERVICE EQUIPMENT SERVICE

We have an excellent opportunity for a Regional Service Manager with a well established Commercial Foodservice Equipment Service provider. As the Regional Service Manager, you will manage a regional team of Service Technicians with the overall objective of increasing productivity, enhancing customer growth and retention, and driving sales to maximize profitability through preventative maintenance, service and repair of commercial cooking, refrigeration and warewashing equipment. The Ideal candidate should have a very good understanding of Commercial Foodservice Equipment, HVAC/R and have managed service technicians. There is relocation available for the right individual.

Main Responsibilities:  

  • Directly supervise a group of Service Technicians 1 on 1 coaching, counseling and development of Technicians to improve skills and abilities
  • Progressive discipline and performance improvement as necessary
  • Identify additional Technician training needs and address as appropriate
  • Serve as an immediate resource for all Technician questions, concerns, and issues Utilize local sourcing and recruiting opportunities to identify and maintain "bench" candidates for future Technician openings
  • Conduct 'ride along' fieldwork focusing on technical competencies, safety, and service
  • Grow and retain market share through management and delivery of premier customer service and sales initiatives
  • Significant face-to-face time with customers; building relationships and driving customer retention

Key Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required, 4-year degree highly preferred 5 or more years of experience in the food service or technical service industry
  • Prior and proven direct personnel management/supervisory experience required
  • Demonstrated staff coaching, discipline, training and development skills
  • Exceptional relationship building skills
  • Proven sales experience required
    Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
  • Willingness to travel within the market spending significant time with current and potential customers
  • Serve Safe Certification and/or CFESA Master Technician preferred Technical equipment training preferred
