The VP, Innovation & Strategy leads the organization in the strategy and research for new products, product enhancements and product redesign. This includes evaluating the practicality and potential of the product to the market. The Director will manage resources efficiently to drive and deliver successful project implementation. The Director will also be responsible for maintaining an engaged and high performing team. This is a critical role in the organization.
The successful candidate will be a team player with an entrepreneurial drive and possess high level of integrity. He or she will have have a positive attitude and ability to motivate and energize others.
Responsibilities:
• Drives engineering methodology and innovation
• Manages team of employees to create new products in concert with customer needs
• Selects design concepts and fundamental technology used for products
• Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring projects
• Negotiates and manages contracts with consulting firms to perform research
• Manages the design and functional documentation on engineering projects
• Resolves tactical issues to ensure effective and efficient project management and product development processes
• Actively cultivates a collaborative, high-performing team
• Identifies & leverages growth opportunities to increase revenue & enhance profitability

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing or Business Administration preferred
• 10+ years’ experience in product development and project management
• Proven ability to effectively motivate, coach and mentor team members
• Proven ability to develop long term sustainable and trusted partnerships
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities, meet deadlines, multi-task effectively and work well under pressure

• Possesses exceptional problem solving and communication skills

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Demonstrated ability to develop repeatable processes or improve existing processes in and out of product development
