WANTED: TWO COMMERCIAL FOODSERVICE EQUIPMENT PRODUCT MANAGERS

Summary of the Role:

The Product Manager’s goal is to grow revenue, EBITDA and market share by developing new products that deliver unmet or underserved consumer needs in the marketplace. The Product Management leader is responsible for identifying potential market opportunities, performing business and competitor reviews and identifying new product opportunities that maximize value to the business/brand. This leader will be responsible for driving strategic direction grounded in deep consumer, product, and market understanding. The Director of Product Management is responsible for pricing strategy, innovation, product portfolio management, merchandising, promotion integrated brand activation activities.

Major responsibilities of the role:

Develops and recommends category/product plans and strategies that maximize category share & deliver incremental revenue growth.

Drives ideation, development, and delivery of new product initiatives that effectively connect with targeted consumers.

Develops clear and differentiated positions for all new products, leveraging insights and utilizing brand discriminators in the respective consumer space.

Develops product-specific message, working collaboratively with graphics design and marketing team.

Acts as a thought leader around category innovation unlocking new to the world consumer benefits.

Develops trade and customer presentations that clearly explain how new products create value for the customer and how they uniquely connect with the shopper, guest or member.

Works collaboratively with R&D/Project Management, Marketing, Sourcing, Finance, and Sales to ensure timely development and execution of new product initiatives.

Develops category innovation strategies/plans utilizing consumer & marketplace insights. Can persuasively articulate the category innovation strategy into a product road map. Drives alignment with Sales Teams & Leadership Team on category innovation strategies and road maps.

Builds strategic partnerships to enable new capabilities: innovation/new products

Effectively creates and presents robust business cases through the NPD/gate-keeping process.

Aligns executive leadership and sales teams to a category strategy and product road map.

Develops a pricing strategy based on perceived value-based attributes for customers and consumers. Analyzes shopper insights, market observations and market data to set pricing objectives, strategies, and develop guardrails for key SKUs. Applies price modeling information to optimize margins. Manages pricing audits to evaluate opportunities and extract maximum value across channels.

Develops product life cycle management across broad categories and product platforms. Minimizes reversed declines in a product platform by aggressive managing product life cycle management.

Works with sourcing team to establish supplier strategy based on capabilities needed to execute new product plans.

Develops and articulates a strategic plan to leverage product portfolios across regions and channels.

In conjunction with marketing, accountable for annual category plans with integrated marketing activities. Suggesting the right mix of promotions, advertising and trade initiatives.

Links independent consumer insights and observations to form a holistic and proprietary standpoint. Develops new products that leverage those insights and deliver a competitive advantage.

Identifies product gaps in the marketplace. Champions analyses to fill these gaps via growth enabling new products.

Known internally and externally as a leading category expert across the industry develops deep category knowledge across multiple categories and brands.

Prioritizes key promotional windows based on target shopping behavior and sets promotion depth and frequency guidelines to capitalize on opportunities.

Qualifications:

Four-year college degree, MBA preferred 10+ years of equivalent marketing experience. Demonstrates an understanding of differences between countries and cultures. Experience translating marketing objectives into strategies and plans. Has successfully launched multiple new products from the concept stage through commercialization and in-market success. Has successfully managed a product/category and brand portfolio. Strong decision-making background in ambiguous environments with a bias for action. Demonstrated success working and leading in a large organization. Persuasive communication skills and the ability to develop materials for strategy and business review meetings. Proven ability to manage and develop a marketing team.

Strong business acumen with proven strategic planning and a track record of profitable growth.

Experience with the implementation of growth, new business development and marketing initiatives

that lead to stronger market advantages. Strong organizational skills with the ability to execute/implement of strategic design. Ability to develop compelling reasons for action that radically improve customer experience delivery. Proven leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. Ability to balance multiple priorities, manage direct or extended teams, ensures that support functions are adequately resourced. Ability to understand and implement change management methodology across the organization.
