Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse Manager with Operating Room Experience They are a family of hospitals, health care services, and medical providers delivering care to people throughout Puget Sound. We are one of the largest not-for-profit healthcare systems in the country.
The Registered Nurse Manager, Operating Room - Clinical Perioperative Services is responsible for organizing, planning, managing and evaluating clinical and management activities for the designated department and in accordance with the hospitals' policies/standards/procedures and applicable regulatory/accreditation requirements. An incumbent actively participates in the management activities and overall operations of the Perioperative Service Line to support the continuity and quality of patient care and foster inter-departmental communication/collaboration.
The Registered Nurse Manager Perioperative Services
1) ensures that overall goals relating to productivity, quality of care, patient satisfaction and/or growth in market share are achieved;
2) develops/implements/monitors quality improvement initiatives to enhance/streamline current procedures/processes;
3) performs ongoing performance/process improvement activities
4) manages/develops clinical staff in the delivery of patient care and related support services.
Education/Work Experience Requirements
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, and four years related work that would demonstrate attainment of requisite job knowledge/abilities, including two years in a charge nurse/leadership position (or equivalent).
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Washington State Board of Nursing or eligible
Specialty certification (e.g. CNOR, Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse [CPAN], Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse [CAPN] is preferred.
Current healthcare provider BLS certification.
