Accounting Analyst Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting and/or finance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Proven ability to manage processes independently within a lean team.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• High level of confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive financial data.
• Self-starter capable of thriving with minimal supervision.

Accounting Analyst Duties

• Collaborate with the Controller to manage accounts payable, receivable, and financial reporting.
• Post journal entries and complete monthly bank reconciliations.
• Oversee expense reports and purchase orders.
• Support monthly and quarterly closing, annual budgets, audits, and system implementations.
• Prepare documents for external audits and performance reports for renewable energy investments.
• Review compliance documentation from portfolio companies.
• Provide analysis and reporting support for company performance.
