Application Specialist/Food Service - Harisburg, PA - International HVAC/R Controls Manufacturer

We have an outstanding Application Specialists opportunity for a International HVAC/R Controls Manufacturer Responsible for the quality and timely implementation of applied solutions for refrigerated food-service participation in the North American market. The Application Specialist will provide leadership for project and priority management of the food-service solutions team. The Application Specialist should understand and represent the food-service market and customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide leadership for effective project and priority management of development or configuration efforts for food-service applications
    • Act as gate-keeper and negotiator to determine with the broader team both priorities and resources required to have successful projects
    • Manages food-service solutions team including technical projects, as well as holistic customer solution projects, by assigning and tracking priorities and activities and by maintaining velocity
    • Elevate when needed, to the Marketing Manager, North American Refrigeration, to advance the product and solution needs of North America
  • Assist or lead to define key North American market opportunities and risks
    • Lead, and collaborate to map North American end-users and their OEM partners on key criteria
    • Identify key personas and their interests, requirements
    • Align the organization's solutions with end-user persona needs
    • Make list pricing recommendations and elevate key misalignment's, if any; protect margin
    • Evaluate competitors regularly and share internally
  • Assist or lead to evaluate the Organization's existing solutions, partners or programs and to identify and address gaps
    • Usability, intuitive, appropriately documented approach to satisfy North American norms
    • Complete solutions that address the core needs of the end-user and their OEMs
    • Sales team readiness and training plan
    • Execution partner readiness and support plan
    • Delivery/execution methods that put the Organization at competitive par or advantage
  • Assist or lead to manage product and solution lifecycle
    • Manage launch/phase-in and phase out/obsolescence of solutions
    • Provide sales material and training
    • Engage in self-training to stay current
    • Provide financial systems oversight for correct product data throughout lifecycle
  • Assist or lead brand awareness promotion
    • Events, social media
    • Support lead generation activities
    • Support sales through influencer relationship development
    • Support sales through partnership development collaboration
    • Accompany sales and present to target customers as the product expert
  • Accountable for commercial-readiness and implementation of quality and timely food-service solutions
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed or assigned by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • EDUCATION – 4 year university degree or equivalent. Marketing and technical degrees or equivalent are preferred.
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS - Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skill.
  • REASONING SKILLS - High degree of business aptitude. High degree of practical reasoning. Is able to align the actions of self and surrounding internal and customer teams with strategy.
  • EXPERIENCE – The most competitive applicant will have the following skill and experience:
    • 2 or more years of customer requirements-gathering and feedback
    • 2 or more years participation in the software development cycle
    • Experience managing voice-of-customer inside an organization
    • Demonstrated successful project management
    • Experience working in the refrigeration controls industry
    • Some product marketing management experience
    • Some experience with market research and developing reports or findings
    • Direct successful experience interacting with customers
