Buyer - Commercial Foodservice Equipment and Supply

We have an outstanding opportunity with a national leader in commercial foodservice design, equipment, and supply, seeking a detail-oriented, strategic Buyer to join our procurement team. This role is responsible for managing purchases across multiple categories while ensuring full compliance with buying group contracts, project specifications, and vendor agreements.

This position is ideal for a procurement professional who brings industry-specific experience, understands contract obligations, and thrives in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. Remote candidates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Compliance:
    Review and verify all purchases against buying group contracts and manufacturer agreements to ensure compliance and maximize value.

  • Strategic Vendor Management:
    Analyze and compare vendor options to determine the best procurement strategy while remaining compliant with manufacturer and group purchasing obligations.

  • Project Alignment:
    Ensure all procurement activities are accurate and aligned with specific project requirements, timelines, and budgets.

  • Market Awareness:
    Maintain current knowledge of market trends, pricing fluctuations, and vendor offerings in the commercial foodservice industry.

  • Systems Utilization:
    Proficiently use SAGE and QuickBooks to manage purchase orders, vendor records, and cost tracking.

  • Smallwares Purchasing (Preferred):
    Prior experience or familiarity with sourcing smallwares is a strong plus and will be highly valued in this role.


Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of purchasing or buying experience in the commercial foodservice, hospitality, or equipment/supply industries.

  • Solid understanding of manufacturer agreements, buying groups, and vendor compliance.

  • Proficiency in SAGE and QuickBooks required.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with acute attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with vendors, project teams, and internal departments.

  • Experience working with smallwares is highly desirable.

  • Self-motivated and able to succeed in a remote work environment.
