CPA – Tax & Audit Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in tax preparation, planning, and compliance, or 2+ years of experience in audit engagements.

CPA – Tax & Audit Duties

  • If you’ve been handling Tax or Audit functions at a CPA firm for 2+ years, this should be very familiar.
  • Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Conduct thorough tax research and analysis to support tax planning initiatives and identify opportunities for tax savings. Assisting clients with expert advice.
  • Lead and manage audit engagements, including planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, and reporting, by professional standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate internal controls and accounting systems to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and delivering exceptional service that exceeds client expectations.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members, providing guidance and support to facilitate their professional growth and development.
