Director of Contract Sales Department - Commercial Foodservice Projects

We have an Outstanding opportunity with a well established Equipment, Supply,and Contract Build dealer seeking an experienced and driven Director of Contract Sales to lead our sales and operations for commercial kitchen equipment projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, selling, and overseeing the installation of kitchen solutions for various commercial clients. This role requires a strategic leader who can manage the sales team and operational logistics, ensuring we deliver high-quality and cost-effective solutions tailored to our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet the company’s goals and profitability targets.
  • Led, managed, and expanded the contract sales team, ensuring a high level of expertise and customer service.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key clients, including restaurants, hotels, and institutional facilities, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.

Team Management and Development:

  • Actively manage and coach the sales team, providing training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Set clear team goals and KPIs, evaluate performance, and implement strategies to achieve these metrics.
  • Host Weekly L10 Meetings with your team.
  • Ensure your team sends Daily/Weekly Scorecards
  • Foster a collaborative and empowering environment to enhance team productivity and morale.

Operations Management:

  • Oversee the entire operations of the contract sales department from client acquisition to the final installation of kitchen equipment.
  • Work closely with the design and installation teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the client’s satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure equipment availability and negotiate favorable terms.

Project Management:

  • Monitor project timelines and progress, adjusting as necessary to handle any arising challenges or delays.
  • Ensure all contract sales projects adhere to legal, safety, and regulatory standards.

Financial Oversight:

  • Manage the department’s budget, including sales forecasting and operational costs
  • Track and analyze sales performance and operational efficiency to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Client Service and Retention:

  • Develop and implement customer service standards for excellence.
  • Resolve complex client issues and escalations, ensuring high client satisfaction and retention.

Market Analysis and Strategy Development:

  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
  • Develop marketing strategies in collaboration with the marketing department to enhance brand visibility and product reach.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: At least 7 years of experience in a sales or business development leadership role, preferably in the commercial kitchen equipment industry.
Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale projects.
  • Deep understanding of the commercial kitchen industry and market dynamics.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales management tools.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment with regular travel to client sites and occasional travel to industry events.
  • Standard working hours with additional hours to meet project deadlines and client needs.
