Director of Sales – CPG Packaging Label Manufacturer

ARI is working with a North American Manufacturer of high-quality labels for CPG packaging that is looking to hire a Director of Sales to manage the existing national team of remote sales reps and grow the B2B sales department.

The Director of Sales is responsible for the direction of the Sales function supporting the company. Manages sales resources and personnel for maximum benefit through organization, training, and leadership. Develop and implement strategies to grow business. Ensure increasing levels of Customer and Employee satisfaction while improving efficiency. Maintains open communication with the overall company's leadership team.

Essential Duties:

  • Directs the development of strategic plans for the Sales division that are consistent with the company's established long and short-term goals and ensure their proper execution.
  • Manage Sales team to achieve targeted sales growth through effective hiring, communications, coaching, training, and development.
  • Manage, develop, and maintain business relationships with existing and potential key clients to meet sales objectives.
  • Corporate-level contacts both in person and by phone.
  • Represent the Company at tradeshows.
  • Secure relationships with key buyers.
  • Maintain and grow a Corporate database of assigned accounts.
  • Responsible for the divisional P&L pertaining to Sales.
  • Maintains appropriate communications within the Sales division and between other functional areas of the business and promotes a spirit of cooperation.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Sharing company marketing information with your social media network i.e. LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
  • Identifying, communicating, and advocating, in writing, continuous process improvements to drive effectiveness, efficiency, and predictability.
  • Recruiting and referring high-quality employees to all departments within the company.
  • Managing Your career development by staying current with:
  • Internal system upgrades
  • General business trends
  • Management trends i.e. hiring, training, evaluating, coaching, compensating, etc.
  • Industry trends
  • Business Development i.e. Sales Appointment Setting, Sales Appointment Setting, field sales, etc
  • Customer Success i.e. onboarding, account management, and customer service
  • And other topics that will help advance your career
  • Any other projects or responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.

Training and Experience:

  • 5-7 years experience managing sales or equivalent in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5-7 years selling experience with national or key accounts and/or distributor sales
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business, or related area or equivalent experience.
