ESG Reporting & Compliance Manager

ESG Reporting & Compliance Manager Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration required; CPA preferred.
• 6+ years of professional experience, ideally with 3+ years in public accounting and 2+ years in ESG reporting.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, ESG regulations, and SEC rules.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional, matrixed organization.

ESG Reporting & Compliance Manager Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with various functions (Legal, HR, Finance, etc.) to ensure adherence to CSRD, SEC, and other reporting standards like GRI, SASB, and TCFD.
• ESG Data Management: Support the development and maintenance of systems for collecting, verifying, and analyzing ESG data, ensuring its integrity for external reporting.
• Third-Party Assurance: Establish structures for third-party assurance of ESG data and coordinate with auditors for external reviews and SEC reporting.
• Strategic Guidance: Stay informed on ESG regulations and industry trends, providing strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Training & Education: Enhance awareness and understanding of ESG data assurance and reporting across the organization.
• Project Management: Develop timelines for ESG reporting, driving continuous improvement in processes and systems.
• Sustainability Initiatives: Support initiatives like GHG emissions reduction targets, monitoring KPIs, and providing insights to senior leadership.
