Here is your new job:
Responsible for designing, and overseeing the design, of new products including stainless steel equipment, refrigerators/freezers, and heated equipment.
Research and identify new technologies. Source components and work with other designers to develop and build prototypes. Develop equipment that comply with UL/ETL and NSF requirements.
Assist in value engineering projects to reduce labor and cost.
Support sales request with Engineering Change Orders (ECO). Assist in sales related activities as required (field visits, warranty request, and training).
Education, Experience, and Knowledge Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a min. of 5 years of experience in commercial equipment design.
Experience with new product development process: specification and project scope, design and prototype creation/evaluation to rapidly commercialize new equipment.
Experience in sheet metal design – material selection, welding, finishing, bend tolerances.
Experience in the use 3D modeling software. Autodesk Inventor preferred.
