We have an exceptional opportunity for a Head of Installation, we are seeking a motivated, experienced, professional, highly skilled Installation Manager for its NY Metro Offices to support its Food Service Design & Construction division. This position reports to the Vice President of Equipment Sales & Operations.
Overview:
As the Head of Installation, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our commercial kitchen equipment installation projects. You will lead a team of installers (Union & Non-Union), coordinate project schedules, and ensure that installations are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of installation technicians, providing guidance and support throughout projects.
- Coordinate installation schedules, ensuring timely and efficient project execution.
- Conduct on-site assessments to determine site readiness, access, equipment placement, requirements, and installation procedures.
- Oversee the assembly and installation of commercial kitchen equipment, including ovens, refrigeration units, ventilation systems, and more.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards throughout the installation process.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any installation issues that may arise, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, expenses, and inventory.
- Collaborate with sales and project support teams to meet customer needs and expectations.
- Train and mentor installation team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in commercial kitchen equipment installation, or comparable industry with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with a good understanding of construction documents.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Experience with computers & other electronic office/business equipment.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Required to possess or be willing to obtain OSHA 62 Supervisor Site Safety Certification and other needed industry certifications.
Primary work schedule is Monday-Friday 7:00 am-4:00 pm. This will be a position that will require significant office time but will also require time in the field. Overtime, out-of-town travel, and weekend work will be required as needed.
