Manager of Emergency Services

- The Emergency Department Manager reports to the Emergency Department Director and has 24-hour operational responsibility for the Emergency Department.
- The Emergency Department is an active Level II Trauma Center receiving transfers for various specialty services such as Neurosurgery, Cardiology, Orthopedics, and Pediatrics.
- The Manager of the Emergency Department must have the knowledge and have the ability to demonstrate Emergency Department operations, best-demonstrated practices, collaboration, and teamwork dynamics are essential requirements of this position.
- The Emergency Department manager is required to be a leader in hospital disaster preparedness.
Minimum: Current California Registered Nurse, or Eligible for CA RN License ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC
Preferred: As above with CEN and NRP
Minimum: 5 years in Emergency Nursing or other related nursing specialties
Preferred: Hospital management or supervisory experience
Minimum: A.D.N. with BSN in process
Minimum: Emergency and Trauma clinical skills, ability to teach
