Our client in the DFW area will hire a Sr. Quality Engineer who is experienced in working within a capital equipment OEM environment. This opportunity will have a career path to a Manager role.

You will Work with 2 others in Quality Engineering department. Reports to Sustainability Quality Manager. Local DFW candidates. Minimum of 5-7 years experience.
Develop, implement, and document a Quality Management System that will reduce warranty costs and protect the company's brand equity.
The Quality Management System will define the roles and objectives of Operations, Engineering, and Sourcing, including the development of quality metrics

Work with Service to develop and improve warranty codes in ERP.
Use these warranty codes to develop Warranty Dashboards.
Develop and document reliability testing standards for purchased parts and assemblies and oversee setup and implementation of tests in QualityTest Lab.
Validate new suppliers through off-site visits and reliability testing of their products
Develop and document current suppliers with a supplier scorecard, take corrective action as needed.
Work with Sustain Engineering on cost reduction projects related to material, labor, and warranty.
Develop reliability tests to ensure quality and warranty by cost reduction projects.
Use Warranty Dashboard reports identifying projects that reduce warranty cost

Specs to meet to have an interview:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Operations. Five or more years experience in quality assurance in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read fabrication drawings specifications, including geometric tolerance and welding specifications.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) MS Project and MS Access.
Proficient in SolidWorks, CAD, and 3D model viewer/software, including attribute assignment.
