Staff Accountant Qualifications

• A. or B.S. degree in accounting.
• 2-4 years' accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or distribution.
• Knowledge of payroll regulatory requirements is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and accounting processes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Staff Accountant Duties

• Ensure accurate monthly close process, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Process weekly payroll through ADP, managing timecards and employee records.
• Review 401k, FSA, and HRA for accuracy.
• Maintain financial spreadsheets and perform account reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and analysis.
• Provide support for audit activities and maintain internal control procedures.
• Collaborate with accounting and other departments for consistency in reporting.
• Support AP/AR with reconciliations and collections.
