Tax Professional Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Meaningful progress toward CPA is key
- Experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax services for small and medium-sized businesses.
- Proven expertise in tax planning, preparation, compliance, and research.
- Ideally, experience in managing tax engagements and leading a small team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to cultivate long-lasting client relationships.
Tax Professional Duties
- Manage and oversee a portfolio of tax clients, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax regulations and laws.
- Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
- Provide advanced tax planning, research, and advisory services tailored to client needs.
- Maintain strong client relationships, offering personalized financial solutions and expert guidance.
- Lead and mentor junior staff, fostering their professional development.
- Assist in the firms business development efforts by expanding the client base and contributing to strategic planning.
- Participate in firm growth discussions, including potential ownership or buyout opportunities.
