This is a dynamic opportunity for an experienced nursing leader to bring your unique talents to the role of Director of Emergency Department. Reporting to our Executive Director of Nursing, you will assume the responsibility of emergency department operations and establish and maintain excellence in nursing practice. In partnership with the Chief of Emergency Medicine and other departmental leaders, you will facilitate an environment of professional collegiality and continuous quality improvement while supporting the development and implementation of strategic plans.
Project over 55,000 visits in 2018· Nurse to patient ratio 4:1 Stroke certified· 100 FTE’s, adding ED OBS beds· The Asst Nurse Manager, Coordinator and Nurse Educator report to the Director. The Director acts as the primary liaison between all service locations, support departments, other healthcare facilities, partners with physicians, and ensures appropriate bed placement and manpower resources are assigned. Assure that patients’ needs are met, and treatment plans are executed at the appropriate level of the continuum with a sense of urgency. Masters Degree Required
At least 5 years of experience as an ED Nurse Director·
FL RN license or elgiable·
