Job Description:

As the Nursing Director of Critical Care Services, you will be responsible for leading and managing our critical care nursing department. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care in our critical care units, including the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and the Cardiac Care Unit (CCU). Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice, fostering a positive work environment, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the critical care nursing department, overseeing all aspects of its operation, including staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation.

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based care protocols and quality improvement initiatives.

- Foster a culture of excellence, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and compassionate patient care.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with physicians, staff, and other stakeholders to promote effective communication and collaboration.

- Mentor and develop nursing staff through ongoing training, education, and performance evaluations.

- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures as necessary.

- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in critical care nursing practices and incorporate them into departmental policies and procedures.

- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, promoting a safe and healing environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.

- Current Florida State Registered Nurse (RN) license.

- Minimum of 2 years of progressive leadership experience in critical care nursing.

- Strong clinical background in critical care, with a deep understanding of ICU and CCU operations.

- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a diverse team of healthcare professionals.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

- Proven track record of implementing quality improvement initiatives and achieving measurable results.

- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
