Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RN professional to join our team as the Director of Nursing Surgical Services. As the Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the surgical services department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care. This is a pivotal leadership role where you will have the opportunity to shape the future of our surgical services.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement strategic plans, policies, and procedures for the nursery surgical department.

- Provide effective leadership and supervision to a team of surgeons, nurses, anesthetists, and support staff.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, guidelines, and best practices in pediatric surgical care.

- Collaborate with other departments and medical staff to optimize patient care and outcomes.

- Manage the department budget, resource allocation, and equipment procurement.

- Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the nursery surgical services.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including parents, referring physicians, and community organizations.

- Stay updated with advancements in neonatal surgical techniques and contribute to research and educational activities.

- Promote a safe and inclusive work environment that encourages professional growth and development.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

- Current and active license as a Registered Nurse (RN).

- Minimum of 3 plus years of experience in surgical services, with a proven track record of progressive leadership responsibilities.

- In-depth knowledge of surgical procedures, standards of care, and patient safety practices.

- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.

- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans and manage budgets effectively.

- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a multidisciplinary team.
