We have an Outstanding Opportunity for a Director of Outside Sales with a Well-Established leading supplier and distributor of commercial kitchen equipment, restaurant supplies, and food service products. As the Director of Outside Sales, you will be a key driver of our sales strategy, responsible for achieving revenue targets and leading a team of outside sales representatives. This role demands a strategic leader with a strong understanding of the Commercial Foodservice Equipment and Supply Industry, a track record of successful sales management, and the ability to inspire and guide a high-performing sales team. The Director of Outside Sales position offers an extremely competitive compensation package, including a Six-Figure base salary, with additional bonuses and benefits including 401K, Health Insurance, Holiday Pay, and PTO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue goals, identifying growth opportunities and market trends.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of outside sales representatives, providing guidance and support to ensure individual and collective success.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with key clients, chefs, restaurant owners, and other stakeholders in the foodservice industry.
- Product Knowledge: Demonstrate expertise in Commercial Foodservice product offerings, staying informed about industry advancements to effectively communicate value propositions to clients.
- Sales Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports to executive leadership. Implement strategies to address challenges and capitalize on opportunities.
- Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding Organizations presence in the NY/NJ and NYC area, and neighboring regions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, customer service, and logistics, to ensure a cohesive and customer-centric experience.
- Training and Development: Implement training programs to enhance the skills and effectiveness of the sales team, fostering continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Proven success in outside sales leadership, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with a successful track record of building and leading high-performing sales teams.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Designing and successfully implementing effective strategies to achieve sales targets.
- Conducting supply and demand research.
- Modifying sales programs based on competitor standards.
- Preparing detailed sales forecasts and reports and ensuring accuracy before submission
- Keeping C.S.O. and management teams apprised of the progress of set targets and company performance.
- Inspire and motivate their sales managers so that they make the team members feel driven to achieve sales targets.
- Set new targets for the business and design innovative and effective strategies to achieve those targets. Follow up by making appropriate adjustments to sales plans and other business processes according to the performance of the business.
- Get the sales managers to implement the Strategies in their teams.
- Creating a culture of proactive selling
- Listen to feedback from the sales team.
- Teach the sales managers how to teach their salespeople to think outside the box, creative problem solving, how to go about a sale, and how to go about coaching a customer.
- Hire and Train additional sales managers.
