VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES -- FOODSERVICE EQUIPMENT
We are working with a well-established market leader who manufactures a variety of fabrications, storage, and material handling equipment for supermarkets, Big Box Stores, Material Handling, and commercial kitchens/restaurants. We seek a dedicated, results-driven, and analytical VP of sales to expand market share with customers on all levels.
This position has several direct reports. It reports into the President/CEO.
Key must-haves:
Develops and executes strategies for increasing sales to emerging chains, local chains, and national accounts, including establishing and maintaining productive relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
Coordinates with dealers, rep groups, and other sales/marketing resources to present and deliver solutions that meet local, regional, and national account customers needs; and accurate market analysis, forecasting, and reporting on potential and actual sales to assigned accounts.
As VP of sales, you should have good leadership skills and the ability to drive company success. In-depth knowledge of the market and competitive products and excellent customer relationships, customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Managing sales teams consisting of but not limited to three Regional Sales Managers, a National Foodservice Sales Manager, and 15 Foodservice Rep Organizations.
- Creating and managing sales budgets, forecasts, etc.
- Setting quarterly and annual sales goals and motivating the sales teams to achieve their goals.
- Identify, call on and convert new-emerging accounts successfully to company products and services.
- Utilize solution sales techniques to penetrate and grow business with large and complex customers
- Coordinate major contracts with key accounts to ensure conformance with division and sales department guidelines.
- Coordinate, develop, and present formal sales presentations to key and targeted accounts; participate in account local, regional, and national shows meetings as may be required.
- Forecast key account sales trends and product requirements on an annual basis.
- Identifying where improvements can be made and developing sales plans and strategies to achieve sales goals.
- Maintain appropriate pricing and execution of price increases at key accounts
- Work with finance as needed to help resolve and manage national accounts receivable and credit disputes.
- Monitoring the market and competitor products and activities and providing detailed sales forecasting.
- Reviewing customer activity, anticipating consumer needs, and improving customer satisfaction.
- Creating sales reports and providing feedback to the leadership team at company meetings.
- Establishing and maintaining key customer relationships. Gather market intelligence and maintain up-to-date knowledge of markets on products, pricing, and competition
- Communicate and work closely with the supply chain and operations team on order fulfillment
Qualifications and Experience
-BS Degree Preferred.
-Supermarket-Retail industry experience required. Strong network and connections in this industry
- Food Service experience is a plus
-10+ years of sales experience
-Aggressive, accountable, and open-minded
-Good solution selling ability, presentation, and communication skills
-Detail oriented with excellent follow-up and communication skills
-Strong computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Social Media
-Strong negotiator
-Heavy travel required
